Twitter is launching a new interface this week built on HTML5 that will replace the mobile version that iPad users have become accustomed to.

“We’ve launched our HTML5 version of twitter.com for iPad,” reads an update on Twitter Mobile’s account. “It will be rolling out to device owners over the next week or so.”

Tech site TheNextWeb has published screenshots of the new Twitter for iPad which shows a dual pane design.

The new interface will be accessible by loading Twitter.com from the Safari browser on the iPad.
